Convert a HTML website into a WordPress website . If you have a normal HTML page and want to add more interaction with your users, then changing your website into a WordPress page is one way to solve the problem. The WordPress can be added under any file, like the root or index, but also under a name like blog or learning. It doesn’t matter. You can even use WordPress just for a contact page inside your html website.
More interactions, means all kind of forms, comment section, vote sections. For user experience and SEO, this interaction might be useful to attract a bigger group of people.
In the video, I will start with the end product. In this way you will see that I used a different header photo and the links were put aside into a widget area. This is not necessary but there are many option and while changing to PHP it might be a good idea to change also the looks of a homepage. At least I recommend changing looks every two years if you don’t want to end up with an old fashioned website (and who want to visit those..?).
In video, the use of XAMPP is recommended. There are ore ways to install a server inside your home computer. But this is one of the simple way I know. I use this home server because WordPress is made with PHP. This is a server side language. To test WordPress offline, this home based server is a great way to go.

After the testing in your home computer and the upload of the WordPress to the server it is just a lot of clicking and copying. This is shown in the video. In the end it is just the same as setting up a WordPress site.

Before publishing, the plugins Askimet (to get rid of spam) and SEO Yoast are activated. You also might consider security plugins like Wordfence and Acunetix before you launch your WordPress.
